My Swimsuit Shop

I've been busy gearing up for swimsuit season! And by that I don't mean working out and getting into shape (I really need to do more of that). By that I mean I've been spending lots of time on swimsuit orders, updating my website, scheduling home parties, advertising, and getting my 'swimsuit shop' ready for the season. I had my first open house over the weekend. We have a room attached to our house with a separate entrance where I have all of my swimsuits on display. I call it my 'swimsuit shop' but Niel is trying to turn it into a 'man cave'. Not happening.

This year I am excited to not only carry Lime Ricki brand swimsuits but also ModBe swimsuits! If you live in Las Vegas, swing by to check out the cute, modest swimsuits. Everything on my website, plus a little more is available to try on and buy. I'll even let you host a super fun swimsuit party (with great perks!) if you beg me:)

Spread the word!

My New Ride

This is my new ride I've been driving around town the last couple of months. Our GMC Acadia replaced the Honda. It took longer than we anticipated to finally get a new car because we got it used from an auction. We saved a lot of money but we had to be patient. Which meant I went without a car for most days for about three months or so after Kensie was born. Talk about cabin fever to the max. No car, stuck at home with a newborn.

Anyways, we wanted something with more leg room and cargo space. We also preferred something with a third row but that wasn't a huge SUV or minivan. We narrowed our search down to the Toyota 4Runner, Lincoln MKX, and the Acadia. My favorite things about the Acadia are the bucket seats, the third row, and the body style. Having the extra cargo space is great and it's so much easier getting Kensie in and out of the car.

I hadn't ever driven anything bigger than a small sedan so I had to adjust to driving this car. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. But I'll be honest, I still struggle backing this thing up and parking in tight spaces.

So I guess it's pretty official now. My car screams mom. Hopefully people think 'Hot Mom.'

Jimmermania

Niel and I are both BYU alumni and we will always be big cougar fans. But being a BYU cougar fan during this year's basketball season was better than ever. We all know why. The Jimmer. Even my Grandma is a Jimmer fan. We finally got to see him play in person at the MWC here in Vegas. The first night of the conference we got a babysitter for Kensie and tried to buy tickets from scalpers. That was unsuccessful. Not only did we not get into the game, but Kensie screamed for the babysitter almost the entire time we were gone. The following night we got tickets to the San Diego vs. BYU game while my aunt watched Kensie. It was a sad loss but I'm still glad we were able to go.

Here we are at the game. blurry. It's all I've got.

My brother Brannen and his family came to Vegas over the weekend for the MWC. They stayed at our house on Saturday night and went to church with us the following day. It was so much fun to have them stay with us even though it was a short visit!

Mollie and Gregg had a party for the BYU vs. Florida game. That was one really disappointing game but at least Mollie made really cool cupcakes with pictures of the BYU basketball players. It was sad to see Jimmer have a rough shooting night in his last game of his college basketball career.

But...

I'm pretty sure we will see a lot more of Jimmer in the NBA...and we will be his number one fan as long as he never sports a Lakers Jersey.
