Roughin' It

On Friday night we went camping up the canyon at San Bernardino's Childrens' national forest for a church activity. We got lost in the woods on our way to the camping site which was an adventure of itself (it was dark outside). Once we made it there we had fun. Friday night we did the usual hamburgers/hot dogs and smores.
Niel climbed this tree. After that every little kid that was there wanted to climb it too.

Our breakfast on Saturday was way better than any breakfast I have eaten at home lately. We had eggs, pancakes, bacon, and sausage Saturday morning. I ate six pieces of bacon and loved every one of them. After breakfast we hiked around and went to this lookout spot. You could see for miles and miles because it is a lookout spot fire watching.

Busy Bee

This week was a really busy week. I had something every night after work. I leave my house every morning at 8a.m. (sometimes earlier) and get home around 6:15 (that's if I don't work OT). I went straight from work to most of my activities during the week. This is what I did during the week after work:

Monday: FHE & Hip-hop class
Tuesday: Young Women's
Wednesday: Company meeting (free food!)
Thursday: Enrichment
Friday: Ward Camp out
Saturday: Ward Camp out cont., cleaning, and relief society dinner and broadcast.

When I got home Saturday night I fell asleep fully clothed on the bed around 9 p.m....and I didn't wake up until the following morning until 8:30 a.m. I guess my busy week caught up with me. Luckily next week wont be quite as busy.

The Office "Weight Loss"

I love the show "The Office". It has only become more funny to me since I work in an office. We even have a guy in our office who is similar to Dwight. There are so many things that happen in the episodes of the The Office that happen in my office. For example: one of my co-workers has a crush on one of the girls in a company who we order from who he has never met. He has seen a picture of her and he has a serious crush on her. This totally reminds me of when Michael falls in love with the girl in the chair catalog.

Anyways last night's performance was awesome. I was laughing pretty hard. here are some of my favorite parts.

p.s. I have found that my lunch hour is a perfect time for me to work on my blog.

-"Fat people are not monsters"-Michael Scott

-When Dwight puts fruits and vegetables in the vending machine.

-"We are going to randomly select three people in this office for liposuction: Phillys, Kevin, and ?

-When Jim proposes!!!

I LOVE Jim and Pam! They are the cutest couple.

Ok so I know this is really pathetic that I am writing a blog about my favorite tv show but this is the only tv show I watch. I never watch tv. PLUS Jim is really cute:)

Where's Waldo?

On Tuesday night for mutual we played "Where's Waldo". All of the adult leaders dressed up in different costumes and one person dressed up as Waldo...me! I looked more like Waldo with my red beanie on but I borrowed that (not pictured). The people in costumes hid all around the church. Whoever found all of the characters and Waldo won. (The kids got more points for finding Waldo). I was hiding in a little cupboard in the nursery. I was curled up in a little ball. It was a really fun activity!

Abby's Wedding

On Friday after work I went straight to Balboa Island to meet up with Cat and Brittany. Abby's family rented this cute beach house right by the beach on Balboa Island for friends to stay in. We went to the reception in Laguna Hills. Abby looked gorgeous and it was so good to see her since I hadn't seen her since last August. As always it was great to see Brittany and Cat. It was so fun to have a little girls night on Friday night. We stayed up late chatting and woke up four hours later to take Brittany to the airport.
Friends from Freshman year. I met Brittany, Abby, and Cat freshman year in the dorms. They were on the same floor as me in Helaman Halls. Helaman Hotties!!

B-I-N-G-O-B-I-N-G-O-B-I-N-G-O!!

On Friday I won Bingo at work and I got $100!! Whoo-hoo! No, I am not an addicted bingo player. Everyone at work gets a bingo card and we all get emailed a letter each day. I have a couple ideas of what I want to do with my money. I am either going to either buy a ticket to Cirque de Solei in Vegas and convince my girlfriends to go with me or go to an entrepreneur workshop in LA this weekend. Maybe I will do both:)

We bleed blue

I spent the weekend in Seattle last week. Our family got together for the BYU vs. UW football game. I took work off on Friday and arrived in Seattle around lunchtime. I went to lunch with my mom and dad and then we went to the beach at Puget Sound. The weather was beautiful, sunny, and warm. Here is the Seattle skyline. Unfortunately Niel couldn't come because he had just started his second week of rotations for p.a. school.

This is my sweet nephew Mckay. I love him so much! He is so funny and cute. He can always make me laugh and bring a smile to my face. The first thing he told me when he saw me was, "My mommy has a baby in her stomach and it's very very small". Then he continued to tell me its the size of his thumb. Congratulation Jennifer and Jericho! I am excited to be an AUNT AGAIN!!!

My nephews Isaac, Mckay, and Austin all riled up at Red Robin. Friday Night we went to the fireside put on by the BYU football team. Coach Mendenhall (sp?) spoke and several other football players. My favorite part was when the football team sang "Armies of Helaman". They sounded like a men's choir...and they looked good too:) ha ha.

We stayed in the Embassy Suites hotel. In the morning they serve a breakfast buffet with cook-to order omelets. Lets just say it was the best breakfast I had eaten in a looong time. Two days in a row too:)
Saturday morning we went to the tailgate party and then the football game. The tailgate party was right outside the stadium and they even had a band. There were so many BYU fans there and we were so loud! We totally rallied their stadium, I loved it. There was a disgruntled UW couple sitting in front of us. I was really loud the whole game and used my old yelling techniques from being a cheerleader.

Our family filled up this whole row of seats. My brother Brannen is really hard-core about the whole football thing. He had his headset on listening to the game on the radio while watching it. My niece Tiffani and nephew McKay decked out in their cougar wear...too cute.Tiffani was my little buddy for the weekend. We were even roommates the first night. The Child clan (minus Brent & Paul's family...and Niel)View from the stadium...Seattle is really pretty. I could definitely live there if it didn't rain so much. After the football game we went to Round Table Pizza to celebrate Isaac's fourth birthday. Here is Dylan, Isaac, McKay, and Trent. After cake and ice cream we went back to the hotel we were staying at and we all got in the pool and hot tub! On Sunday we went to church and then had a picnic in the park by the Seattle temple. It was so nice to see my family.

Hair cut

I went a little shorter again. Victoria beckham wannabe tamed down. I wanted more of an angle this time. I think he did a pretty good job (no he didn't miss a spot in the back...I did a crappy job of curling my hair under there). Yes, my hair dresser is a male. His name is Shane and he is one of the 5-10% of male hair dressers who isn't gay. I am the type of person who always went to Supercuts with a coupon in hand to get the cheapest hair cut possible. Since I cut my hair shorter things have changed unfortunately. He charges a pretty penny to cut my hair. But he always does a really good job and he keeps me coming back. Right after forking out the cash after each hair cut I tell myself I am going somewhere different the next time to save money. But then when I get home, style my hair and realize what an awesome job he does I have no choice but to go back.

Anyways I really liked my hair cut, but Mr. Schurig didn't. He said it was too short. It is the shortest I think my hair has ever been but it is fun to have an actual hair style now. Fun to do something different too...besides hair always grows back!
