Maui Day 4: Haleakala bikeride

On Thursday we drove to the east side of Maui and met up with our bike-tour group. They drove us to 6,500 feet on the way up to Haleakala. Haleakala crater is one of the world's largest craters. We started at 6,500 feet and biked 28 miles almost all downhill. The views were great.

Check out the cool biking gear they provided us with:) We saw some horses along the way and stopped. Below are some pictures of the places we stopped at along the way.

After the bike tour we went to Baskin Robins and got banana splits! YUM.

This is me in the Banyan Tree downtown Lahaina. This tree was HUGE. We couldn't come close to getting the whole tree in one picture.

That night we ate dinner at BJ's. This was our view from our table. We watched the sunset go down over the ocean. An island dude was playing live music in the restaurant! This is something I loved about Maui....the restaurants are very open and most the ones we went to had a view of the ocean and live music.

This picture is fuzzy but I like it because we didn't know she was taking the picture yet.
