Wedding Day!

This was the day we had all been waiting for! Camille and Bryan-high school sweethearts of seven years finally tied the knot! I can remember some of our first adventures hanging out with Bryan and his friends. It has been fun watching Camille and Bryan get to this point. The wedding was held outdoors in Cle Elum, Washington. Everything was beautiful; the setting, the ceremony, and especially the bride!

It was great to see high school friends I hadn't seen in a long time. I also saw old teachers, mentors, and family friends I hadn't seen since high school. The wedding was lots of fun! Congratulations to Camille and Bryan! Enjoy your life together!

Home Sweet Home

The following day after the bachelorette party we went shopping in Seattle and then headed towards Quincy. We stayed the night in Camille's condo at Crescent Bar.

I wished the bride well with her final preparations and headed to Quincy to see my family! It was so good to see my parents since I hadn't seen them since Christmas. My mom and I had lots of fun shopping for baby girl. We picked out some cute outfits and fabric. I made her two receiving blankets while home.
Mom & Dad

We also celebrated my Mom and Tyler's birthday while I was there. My sister Lori and brother Brent and their families came to visit too!

It was so nice to be back home for a few days. It is always great to see my family, enjoy my mom's meals, and relax at my home in rural Washington.

Bachelorette

Last month I enjoyed a splendid vacation in my home state of Washington. Main reason for the trip: Camille (high school BFF) getting married! Tuesday night they picked me up from the airport and we headed to the Steelhead Diner in Seattle for the Bachelorette dinner. The restaurant is at the heart of Pike's Place market on the pier. There were about twenty girls who showed up!

Camille hates veils. She also hates being the center of attention. It was fun.

Here I am with three of my high school buddies. Mallory, Amy, and Camille.

After dinner we headed to the house we were staying at on the lake in Seattle. We played some bachelorette-party-appropriate games and showered Camille with some honeymoon-appropriate gifts.

Pizza

Niel has a recipe for delicious homemade pizza. The ladies attempted making the pizza while the men went to the evening session of conference. Considering we didn't know what we were doing the pizza turned out delicious and we had lots of fun making it together.

We may have started a new conference tradition.

Easter

We had an Easter egg hunt for the nephews and nieces on my side of the family at my brother's house during Easter weekend. I helped play the Easter bunny by hiding eggs.

On your mark...get set...

Those lucky kids. Every single egg was filled with candy. When I was growing up we would play with real eggs and only a select few plastic eggs were hidden with candy and money. You were the lucky one if you found the hidden egg with candy. Kids these days...they have it too easy:)

Niel and I spent Easter Sunday with his family. Easter morning we made delicious crepes and watched conference together. The Easter bunny forgot to deliver to Niel and I. Kinda messed up huh?

Conference

I was able to go to the morning session of general conference with my sister and her family in April. I love being in the conference center for general conference. One of my favorite talks was by M. Russell Ballard about the special relationship between mothers and daughters (here LDS.org - Liahona Article - Mothers and Daughters). I thought a lot about the great relationship I have with my mom. At the time I didn't know I was having a girl but I remember thinking about how I looked forward to having a daughter of my own someday and having that special relationship. A couple weeks later I found out I was having a girl! I enjoyed the talk even more when I re-read it!

Still leading the pack...

Mollie and I are still going strong as the Webelos Cub Scout leaders. So far this summer we hiked Red Rock, swam, played basketball, hiked Lone Mountain, made dinner over a campfire, went to cub scout day camp, and and much more.
These are some of our cub scouts on our hike to Red Rock

Today we played badminton. 31 weeks pregnant playing badminton with ten year-old boys in 106 degree weather. Impressed? Ok, so maybe I didn't exactly play but I kept score while Mollie played with them. Tell me we aren't the best leaders ever.

Barry

A couple months ago Niel got free tickets from work to see Barry Manilow at the Paris. We almost didn't go because we thought it would be lame but at the last minute we went and caught the tail end of the show. Barry Manilow put on quite the show for being however old he is. He busted out the old dance moves and showed off a plethora of costumes. His voice still sounds great and we got a kick out of watching the crowd there. We were by far the youngest couple in the crowd. Apparently this show sells out almost every night and people paid $250/piece for the tickets. When I found that out I wished we would have gone for the whole thing or tried to sell them.
Here we are in front of the entrance. I was in the early stage of my pregnancy looking bloated rather than recognizably pregnant.

V-Day

It is well known I have been a lousy blogger ever since I got pregnant. While looking at pictures the other night I came across these gems and thought it would be a pity if I didn't post them. We went to a Valentines Day party that our friends Marlene and Spencer threw at their house. There was lots of delicious food and fun games. One of the activities Marlene planned was a photo shoot competition. Each couple dressed up in costume and then we voted on who had the funniest picture. Niel and I were the winners but unfortunately we didn't get a picture with our camera of our ridiculous get-up. Just know that it was good. Instead here are some awesome pictures of our friends.

Well, I finally posted about Valentines Day and I think I have a few other ancient posts up my sleeve. Stay tuned.
